Disinfectant Spray & Mold Killer (spot treating mold & mildew) Mix 2 tsp tea tree oil with 2 C water.
Granite Cleaner Mix 1/2 C of rubbing alcohol with 5-6 drops of dishwasher detergent, spray and wipe the counters clean.
Furniture Polish (restores sheen to wood surfaces) Mix 1/4 cups olive oil with 1/4 cup white distilled vinegar and 20-30 drops of lemon essential oil (you can use regular lemon juice but you have to keep it refrigerated and it won't keep very long)
Mild Abrasive Cleaner (bathroom, kitchen countertops & sinks) Mix 1 cup baking soda with 1/4 to 1/2 cup of liquid castile soap. Add as much liquid castile soap as necessary to get the creaminess you want. You can add a few drops of your favorite essential oil.
Pergo Floor Cleaner Mix together 1/3 cup white distilled vinegar 1/3 cup rubbing alcohol and 1/3 cup water (you can use distilled if you want). Shake well. Then add 3 drops liquid castile soap and 30 drops of your favorite essential oil (I use lavendar & lemon)
Drain Cleaner (get rid of clogs) Sprinkle 1/2 cup of baking soda down the drain. Let it settle down the pipes (just a few minutes). Then pour 1 cup white distilled vinegar down the drain (a little bit at a time). Wait 15 minutes and then flush out with hot water.
Laundry Softener (instead of using dryer sheet or liquid softener) into the softener section of your machine. It softens the clothes and protects the colors... and I promise you won't smell like salad dressing - the scent washes out! Another recipe is to mix 2 cups baking soda, 2 cups white distilled vinegar and 4 cups of water. Use 1/4 cup per load.
Wood Floors (always best to spray onto the floor and use a cloth mop) Mix 1/2 cup white distilled vinegar with 1 gallon of water. Add a few drops of tea tree or lavender oil.
