Quarterly Goals Assessment

Can you believe we’re close to the end of the first quarter of the year? Today we talked on periscope a bit about how your goals are going so far. 
Fill out this worksheet to assess how your goals are going. If you’re having a really hard time with your goal focus for a while on why the goal is important to you. If you perceive your goal as negative or you just aren’t passionate about it those can be big factors in how motivated you are to work on it. Remember the word “SMART” when assessing your goals: Is your goal specific, measurable, attainable, rewarding, and trackable?
Now, repeat after me: “Goals are not set in stone.” You set your goals and you are allowed to change them! 
Once you’ve set your goal you need to be realistic about how much time you can give to your goal each week. We tend to overestimate our future time so think in the present: how much time can you give this week? 
Finally I want you to create an “if > then” emergency plan for yourself for those days when working on your goal just doesn’t happen. The rule should let yourself not feel guilty about missing that day and set up an action for the future. “If I miss my work out then I will work out the next day and add ten minutes to it”. Make it a little uncomfortable and push yourself!
Now that you have the tools you need for your system you can list the steps you need to take and put them on your time line at the bottom. Make sure you use the second page of the download to start tracking your goals, that’s the best way to keep your goals and how you’re feeling about them in sight!
