Lowfat chocolate cake recipe with 3 ingredients.


If I were to tell you that I have a recipe for a dessert that is:

Lowfat…able to make a vegetable taste like chocolate…only 3 Ingredients…so tasty that my kids don't care that it contains a vegetable

Would you believe me? Because I do. Not kidding.

I got this recipe from my sweet sister-in-law Kelley. I'm not sure of the original source, but she shared it with me… and now I'll share it with you!

Lowfat Chocolate Cake


1 Box Devil's Food Cake Mix
1 Can of Pumpkin (regular size)
1 Cup Chocolate Chips

Mix cake mix and pumpkin together in a bowl. The batter will seem really thick, so don't be alarmed. To me, it seems even thicker than brownie batter. Stir in the chocolate cops.

Dump it all in a greased 8x8 pan and bake at 350 for 30 minutes.

That's it! So easy - Jack and Kate can pretty much make it by themselves. Jack does the stirring while Kate dumps in the ingredients… they both do the taste testing.
