Yes... the title of this post is correct. One ingredient. One.
Now, I love ice cream... I really do. BUT I would never feed it to my kids for breakfast... except this one because the one ingredient is actually bananas. Yes, bananas. And, yes, it does have the texture and taste of ice cream with a subtle banana flavor.
I thought I'd do a little step by step on this recipe...
Grab your bananas... about 1.5 per person. Make sure they are nice and ripe with maybe a few brown spots on them. Then just peel & chop. Place in a freezer safe container and stick in the freezer for several hours.
Next, place it in your food processor (I haven't tried this with a blender, but it should work too). I just did a handful of banana chunks at a time.
Keep blending it. It may look a little lumpy, just give it a stir with your spatula.
After a bit, your bananas will look like this... like ice cream.
And serve... want to push it over the top a bit? Add some melted Nutella and pretzel pieces. Wow. So good.
