The old art room is doing double duty for the past few months as John's office space and my jewelry studio. Oh, and it's also our guest room... and our kids creative space. So... you can imagine it's been a bit of a mess lately. I needed to carve out some spaces of my own by clearing out the clutter.
Random pom poms and bits of glitter were gathered in little glass jars. My goal is that if you can see them, they'll get used more often.
Old dried paints were tossed out and a reorganization of what's left.
I love having the closets transformed into open shelves - it makes everything so much more accessible.
What to do with loads of pipe cleaners... gather them in a spare paint can and hang them on the wall as art.
I made sure to clear some room on the kids art table so they won't be tempted to use my jewelry table. I love having the paper roll on the wall (a cheap towel bar with a removable center bar from Lowe's).
Tools and supplies found homes of their own...
And an art gallery was added to - I'm hoping that eventually the kids artwork will take up the entire wall from floor to ceiling.
It feels so much better to have my spaces cleaned and organized. A lot of these projects have been waiting on the back burner for quite a while. It was nice to be held accountable by posting about it each Wednesday. I hope those of you who participated enjoyed doing this "together." I may have to revisit this in the Spring!
