I don't know about you, but I'm somewhat particular about my eyebrows. The idea of shaping them and plucking myself makes me a little nervous... maybe that's due to some serious over plucking I did once in the 8th grade, it left me a little scarred.
I was getting my eyebrows waxed and I liked having someone else shaping them but I've never been a big fan of pain. Recently I've tried threading.. which is so much nicer and (I think) less painful.
Haven't heard of threading? Basically, it's an ancient hair removal method that originated in the Middle East. Practitioners use a pure, thin twisted cotton thread which they twist and roll to pluck the hair at the root. Instead of removing a single hair, it removes an entire row of hairs, giving a more precise pluck. It's better than waxing because it doesn't peel your skin so it's ideal for sensitive skin (and you don't leave with a red streak around your brows!) and you can get a more defined brow shape.
The best part? It's usually much cheaper than waxing... I get my eyebrows done for $4.
Still not sure about it? Watch this little video to get a better idea of how it works:
Would you be willing to give threading a try?
