Type Casting

I love with fonts.  Truly obsessed if I'm being honest. If I spend 5 minutes typing out a letter, I'll spend 30 more choosing the right font. I know... it's a problem, but admitting it is the first step, right? I've even discussed it here on my blog a time or two. So when a friend told me about this game she found in a magazine, I knew I had to play along...

Most typeface names don't really offer any clue about how the font will look. My friend Erin (a font addict like myself) and I have created a little font game on our blogs. Each font name is written in the wrong font. Can you match up the name with its correct font type? For example #1 the word Vampire is written in Bruce Mikita.

For the answers to my puzzle, click here. And if this isn't enough to feed your little font addiction, you might want to check out iPhone's app What the Font.

Here's the answers to Erin's puzzle:
1. Stonehenge
2. Star Jedi
3. Disney
4. Karate
5. Meltdown
6. Outlaw
7. Calvin and Hobbes
8. School Script
9. Samba
10. Varsity
11. Impact Label
12. Stencil
