Right On Target

I am big believer that interior design can be really easy... if you've got lots of money. I mean, how hard is it to pull together a room when you can spend $11,000 on a couch? No, to me the real challenge is finding beautiful things within a reasonable budget (read: cheap). Which is why I have a love-hate relationship with Target. Love, love, love the fact that I can find anything I want to there... Hate that I can't walk out of that place without spending over $100.

That being said, I ran over to Target just the other day to pick up some printing supplies and thought I'd make a quick dash to the Christmas aisle to see if there were any items left on clearance (my hopes, I have to say were not terribly high). To what to my wondering eyes should appear, but not a Christmas tchotchke in sight. Not one... apparently Santa's elves had moved quickly to replace all evidence of Christmas and had replaced it with the New Design Event 2009.
There was some pretty great things - so many that I had to stay and peruse much longer than I had planned. So, I thought I'd pull together a little vignette of some of these finds - makes for a pretty nice room for less than $1,250.

What do you think is a good buy at Target?
