I love the idea of incorporating nature into her room, so when I saw Charley Harper's memory cards at Old Navy (!) I had to scoop them up and display them somehow. This is what I came up with - an art mosaic of sorts. Just a little masonite, an old picture frame renewed with paint, some of my old friend E-6000 and we were in business. Some of the cards are layered for a 3 dimensional effect. I'm happy with how it's turned out. Now, there's just the rest of the room to tackle.
A little snippet about Charley...
Charles Harper's wildlife art is created without the fuss and feathers. Minimal realism, he calls it, "I don't try to put everything in, I try to leave everything out," he explains adding impishly, "I never count the feathers in the wings; I just count the wings."
My kind of guy.
